Quantity Surveyor

As a seasoned Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and administrative aspects of construction projects. Your key responsibilities will include conducting site investigations, preparing accurate estimates, developing estimate schedules, and collaborating with sub-trades and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough site investigations to gather relevant data.
- Prepare detailed estimates for extensions, accuracy, and errors.
- Develop and manage estimate schedules for tendering reviews.
- Assist in budgeting and costing.
- Collaborate with sub-trades and suppliers for quotations.
- Participate in tender closings and compile successful and unsuccessful tenders.
Requirements:
- A Post Secondary Construction Engineering Technology School graduate or BSc Degree in Quantity Survey is required.
- 5-10 years of experience in estimating Commercial, Institutional, and/or Industrial buildings.
- Expertise in estimating and costing of structural concrete and structural steel building systems.
- Extensive experience with projects ranging from 5 million to 50 million.
- Ability to perform conceptual estimating based on written or verbal instructions.
- Proficiency in onscreen take-off software and advanced knowledge of sub-contractor work scopes, estimating techniques, and costing.
