About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to join our team in the Maldives. As a Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the performance of all operations from a commercial and financial perspective.

This is an opportunity to be part of a landmark five-star luxury resort development, with a leading international construction company delivering Programme, Project, and Construction Management.

As a Commercial Manager, your primary responsibility will be to monitor financial performance, prepare project performance reports, and provide recommendations for the executive team. You will also be responsible for supervising the implementation of and adherence to the commercial management plan, subcontract management plant, and project risk management plan.

In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and keeping relevant parties informed on the timeliness, cost, revenue, risk, progress, and performance of the project. You will liaise with the construction team to ensure commercial processes and operations are as effective, efficient, and transparent as possible.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in a relevant field such as finance, accounting, or business administration.

  • Extensive experience in commercial management, preferably in a high-value or complex project environment.

  • Strong knowledge of design & build and contract administration principles.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

  • A strong background in financial analysis and reporting, including trend analysis and budgeting.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

  • Experience with FIDIC Yellow book and main rules of measurement.

  • A positive mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
