Job Title:
Risk Management & Safety Officer
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This involves developing risk management policies, ensuring health and safety standards, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- To identify and assess potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement measures to prevent or minimize their impact.
- To design, implement, and maintain effective health, safety, and risk management policies that comply with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- To conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- To provide training and awareness programs for staff on workplace safety and risk management best practices.
- To investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures to minimize the risk of recurrence.
- To collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and risk awareness throughout the organization.
- To maintain accurate records of incidents, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
- To stay up-to-date with local and international safety regulations and provide expert advice to management on best practices.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification in risk management or occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 45001) is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management and safety roles.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of risk management and safety regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and training abilities.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
