Auto Claims Manager

A senior role in our Auto Claims team is now available at American International Group, Inc. (AIG). As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for examining damaged vehicles, investigating losses, and managing policyholders, insured drivers, third-party claimants, workshops, and business partners.

• Customer Service Delivery: Ensure delivery of existing service level agreements and loss assessment of auto claims.
• Claims Assistance: Provide best-in-class assistance to insureds throughout the claims process while directing cases to satisfactory resolutions.
• Team Supervision: Supervise the existing motor claims surveyor to ensure service delivery of the Oman claims department.
• Motor Repair Estimation: Ensure that motor repair estimation is received from agencies and garages in accordance with the claims survey report and completed with the required information.
• Claims Settlements: Deliver prompt and equitable claims settlements.
• Reserve Management: Post accurate timely reserves for each claim handled, ensure updates are timely based on the development of the claim, and review the entire assigned portfolio on a regular basis to ensure overall reserve adequacy.
• Claim Document Pursuit: Vigorously pursue necessary claim documents.
• Agency Coordination: Maintain close coordination with the agencies, garages, and brokers.
• Cost Reduction: Be responsible for reducing the average cost per claim by negotiating discounts with agencies and garages.
• Market Feedback: Report on market feedback (i.e., any potential problem with a particular type of vehicle model, garage, and agency) to the claims manager.
• Damaged Vehicle Valuation: Provide market value of damaged salvage vehicles.
