Downhole Commissioning Specialist

About the Role
This role involves working unsupervised, monitoring, troubleshooting, and testing downhole ESP equipment to optimize well production and extend run life.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the daily operation of ESP systems under contract.
- Leading commissioning, maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of ESP systems, including logging all well events.
- Evaluating the suitability of well locations for surface ESP equipment installations, such as laying cables, placing foundations, and other site preparations.
- Availability is required at all times within designated areas unless otherwise instructed and cleared by senior staff.
Essential Skills
- Hold a degree in electrical, petroleum, or mechanical engineering, or have relevant work experience.
- No less than three years of experience in ESP commissioning and troubleshooting is mandatory.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of downhole ESP systems, including VSD and FSD.
- Experience in installing and removing ESP units from wells, as well as resolving issues with surface equipment.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, and operate equipment like VSD, FSD, and ESP.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices for frontline supervisors, as well as expertise in Electrical Safety.
- Understanding of Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to efficiently diagnose ESP issues.
- Outstanding interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Driver's license advantageous but not essential.
