The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in urban design and landscape architecture, specifically in large-scale public realm and special event infrastructure projects. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive design plan for the Boulevard project, incorporating culturally resonant and technologically sophisticated elements.
  • Ensure seamless integration of landscape, public realm, event space, pedestrian flows, and visitor experience.
  • Work closely with architects, infrastructure engineers, transport planners, and thematic content designers to achieve project goals.
  • Maintain open communication with client stakeholders and governing authorities to ensure alignment with project vision.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality deliverables across all project stages: Master Planning, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, and Tender Documentation.
  • Implement climate-sensitive, sustainable, and experiential design principles drawing on best practices from international expos and cultural districts.
  • Coordinate input from various stakeholders regarding event programming, media displays, signage, shading, furniture, paving, planting, and other public realm infrastructure.
  • Support the technical integration of MEP, lighting, water features, and smart city infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in urban or landscape design with a focus on large-scale public realm or special event infrastructure.
  • A substantial portfolio showcasing lead roles on Expos, World Fairs, Theme Parks, Festival Zones, or major Destination Waterfronts.
  • Excellent knowledge of urban placemaking, crowd dynamics, nighttime economy, and flexible event infrastructure.
  • Proven proficiency in international design codes and practices; Middle East experience preferred.
  • Superior leadership, concept visualization, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination in BIM environments and with international design teams.
  • Degree in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or Architecture; post-graduate specialization is a plus.
