We are looking for a skilled Urban Designer/Landscape Architect to join our team as a leader in the design and coordination of a landmark Boulevard project in Oman. This role requires expertise in designing culturally resonant and technologically sophisticated urban spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design the ceremonial and entertainment spine of a large-scale development.
  • Integrate landscape, public realm, event space, pedestrian flows, and visitor experience.
  • Collaborate with architects, infrastructure engineers, transport planners, and thematic content designers.
  • Interface with client stakeholders and governing authorities to ensure alignment with the strategic vision of a multi-phase, mixed-use waterfront event zone.
  • Oversee deliverables across all project stages: Master Planning, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, and Tender Documentation.
  • Apply climate-sensitive, sustainable, and experiential design principles drawing on best practices from international expos and cultural districts.
  • Coordinate inputs related to event programming, media displays, signage, shading, furniture, paving, planting, and other public realm infrastructure.
  • Support technical integration with MEP, lighting, water features, and smart city infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • At least 15 years of experience in urban or landscape design with a focus on large-scale public realm or special event infrastructure.
  • Sizable portfolio entries demonstrating lead roles on Expos, World Fairs, Theme Parks, Festival Zones, or major Destination Waterfronts.
  • Strong background in urban placemaking, crowd dynamics, nighttime economy, and flexible event infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in international design codes and practices; Middle East experience preferred.
  • Outstanding skills in design leadership, concept visualization, and presentation to clients.
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination in BIM environments and with international design teams.
  • Degree in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or Architecture; post-graduate specialization is a plus.
