Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated Construction Project Manager to lead our civil engineering projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement processes, conducting feasibility studies, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the civil engineering sector, demonstrating progressive responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contractor selection, to secure the best value for projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to advise on the financial viability of projects.
  • Lead project teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of project progress and expenditure.
  • Negotiate contract variations and claims to protect the financial interests of the project.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure design and construction align with budgetary constraints.
  • Implement cost control measures and strategies to optimize spending without compromising quality.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and market trends to provide informed financial advice.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and clients to resolve financial queries and disputes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the civil engineering sector, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
