Culinary Specialist

Demi Chef De Partie Role at a Leading Hospitality Group

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of the kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our food service areas.

• Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation in all dishes served.
• Inspect incoming produce to ensure that all food merchandise meets order sheets, receiving records and purchasing specifications.
• Adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules and guidelines.
• Participate in controlling outlet operational efficiency to maximize profitability.
• Record guest complaints, requests and solutions and report them to the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
• Familiarize yourself with policies relating to fire, hygiene and safety.
• Ensure all equipment and working areas are kept clean and in good working condition.

• Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2-4 years of kitchen experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting.
• Possess knowledge of broiler equipment and understanding of meat and fish cookery, proficient knife skills and farm-to-table concept.
• Hold alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
• Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Able to thrive in multicultural teams and exhibit strong leadership skills.

• Experience working in cold, hot, pasta and grill sections of the kitchen.
• Specialized in fast-paced A la carte operations and sound knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and ability to live in remote locations for extended periods of time and travel on single status.
