Farm Manager SA is seeking a Poultry Specialist to support our livestock operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and organizing poultry tasks and care in accordance with company policies and instructions from the Farm Manager/Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement poultry task plans in alignment with company policies.
  • Maintain expert knowledge in the field of poultry, including all diseases relating to poultry and prevention/control methods.
  • Create and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for poultry care.
  • Design suitable nutritional organic diets for poultry.
  • Recommend stress-free environments for raising chickens.
  • Collaborate with the in-house lab to ensure quality control.

Requirements:

  • Formal educational qualifications in Animal Science or related field and experience in poultry.
  • Expertise in the field of poultry with strong knowledge of poultry diseases and prevention/control methods.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
