Job Title: Software Security Leadership Position

As a leading figure in software security, your role will be pivotal in shaping the safety and integrity of our open-source ecosystem. We are seeking an exceptional leader to oversee the development of robust security measures, address emerging threats, and ensure the continued trustworthiness of our products.

You will lead a team of skilled engineers, providing technical guidance on vulnerability remediation, driving the development of new security projects, and collaborating with upstream open source projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our platform.

A successful candidate will possess a solid background in software development, including expertise in support and maintenance, as well as a mastery of at least one programming language. Knowledge of Linux distributions, preferably Ubuntu or Debian, is highly valued.

">Key Responsibilities:">
  • Lead and develop a team of engineers, focusing on talent growth and career advancement
  • Provide technical guidance on vulnerability remediation and mitigation strategies
  • Drive the development of new security engineering projects and initiatives
  • Collaborate with upstream open source projects to enhance security and reliability
  • Coach, mentor, and offer career development feedback to team members
  • Identify and measure key performance indicators for team health and productivity
  • Implement disciplined engineering processes and standards
  • Represent the team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers
  • Develop and evangelize great engineering practices and organizational methodologies
  • Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects
