Learning and Development Director

The Director of Learning & Development is a critical role that oversees the entire hotel's learning and development strategy, performance management, and quality assurance. This includes operation and non-operation line colleagues, supervisors, managers, Department Heads, and Executive Committee members, with the ultimate goal of delighting our guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate corporate and hotel policies, as well as standard operating procedures, to all colleagues.
  • Ensure all business activities comply with laws, regulations, and other requirements, in accordance with the MOHG Code of Conduct.
  • Support People & Culture Strategic decisions and fully understand their implications on the hotel.
  • Fully support all learning and development activities, including On The Job trainers and trainings, Group Training Technique trainers and trainings, and training matrix updates.
  • Prioritize and document colleagues' career paths and development needs using the MO Profile online system.
  • Hold monthly meetings with colleagues to address concerns, share information, and provide a forum for feedback.
  • Safeguard stored information, maintain confidentiality, and protect personal data concerning guests, customers, or colleagues.
  • Comply with all Safe, Sound, and Sustainable policies and procedures at Mandarin Oriental.
  • Adhere to the MOHG Social Media Policy and ensure responsible content publication on social media platforms.
  • Maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment or discrimination.
  • Act as a hotel ambassador at all times, promoting a positive image of the hotel.
