The Assistant Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in the finance department, ensuring accurate financial records and assisting in financial reporting. Key responsibilities include overseeing daily accounting activities, assisting with budgeting, and contributing to strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Statement Analysis: Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Reporting: Generate weekly and monthly management reports to provide insights on financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Budgeting: Contribute to the annual budgeting process by collaborating with department heads for financial data and assumptions.
- Forecasting: Assist in preparing financial forecasts and variance analyses to identify trends and recommend actions.
- Diploma in Finance: A diploma in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field is required.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in finance or accounting within the hospitality industry or similar environment is preferred.
- Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is essential.
- Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software (Opera, Sun System) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is necessary.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments are essential.
This role may perform other duties as needed to meet hotel requirements.
