Financial Analyst

This Financial Analyst role supports the investment team in making informed decisions through in-depth financial analysis, feasibility assessments, and financial modeling. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to develop and modify financial models to project investment returns and assess risk exposure.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform detailed financial analysis of potential investments, including valuation, risk assessment, and financial performance trends.
  2. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify investment opportunities in the food, agribusiness, and related industries.
  3. Develop and maintain financial models to analyze investment returns and assess risk exposure.
  4. Assist in preparing investment proposals, reports, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities.
  2. Develop and maintain a database of comparable deals and benchmark regional and international transactions.
  3. Provide insights into investment opportunities and conduct deep-dive sector and company research.
  4. Support the preparation of documentation and financial analysis across all stage-gate checkpoints.
  5. Assist in compiling key inputs for the Project Identification Note (PIN), investment summaries, and Final Investment Proposal (FIP).
  6. Validate assumptions using multiple sources and maintain high standards of data integrity and accuracy in all investment-related documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA, CFA, or other relevant professional qualifications (preferred but not required).

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, or market research.
  • Exposure to private equity, investment banking, or corporate finance is an advantage.
