Architect Job Description

The main objective of the Architect role is to develop, refine and review design drawings and renderings. This involves a comprehensive approach to the architectural process, encompassing concept design, design development, client liaison, detailing and documentation, material specification, and project visualization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in preparing and presenting design reviews using CAD and traditional methods.
  2. Develop innovative contextual design solutions for diverse projects.
  3. Support the design management and consultant teams as required.
  4. Conduct site visits to ensure design specifications are met.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and user groups to understand their requirements and communicate this to the design teams.
  • Prepare concept designs and development briefs.
  • Create and verify briefing documents.
Design Review and Specification:
  • Review project designs for compliance with specifications and requirements.
  • Specify materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing teams to review design specifications for standards compliance.
Project Management and Reporting:
  • Review final project designs to meet client needs and standards.
  • Perform routine activities as a design professional.
  • Support the team in achieving objectives and complete tasks accurately.
  • Mentor trainees and recent graduates.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Report project progress regularly and timely.
  • Ensure work quality, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Engage in professional development for career growth.
Education and Experience:

Diploma in Architectural Engineering or Interior Design is required.

Functional Requirements:

Ability to visualize and translate design concepts into drawings and renderings, with proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D-Max, Revit, or Rhinoceros. Strong business and client-oriented skills are essential.
