Drilling Operations Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient completion of drilling operations on a 28/28 rotation site in Oman. This is a key role within the organization, requiring strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Implement and monitor compliance with the annual HSE plan, conducting regular inspections and audits as required.
  2. Ensure that all safety protocols are in place and adhered to by contractors, participating in incident investigations when necessary.
  3. Manage contractor activities on site, exercising financial authority as established by senior management.
  4. Review and develop detailed drilling plans, verifying technical aspects with drilling engineers and recommending changes as required.
  5. Liaise with contractors to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion of drilling programs, ensuring logistics are well-planned.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  2. Understanding of fluid dynamics is essential.
  3. Minimum 8 years' experience in drilling operations, including at least 5 years as a Drilling Site Supervisor in horizontal drilling.
  4. Excellent Excel and word processing skills, familiarity with Open Well and/or DIMS software.
  5. Fluent written and spoken English.
  6. Well Control Certificate.
