Database Management Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team and take responsibility for managing our MS SQL and Oracle databases. As a key member of our IT department, you will work closely with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of our database systems.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Managing all aspects of database administration, including data storage, backups, and performance tuning
  2. Collaborating with development teams to ensure seamless integration with new applications
  3. Developing and implementing database security measures to protect sensitive data
  4. Providing expert-level support for database-related issues and troubleshooting problems
  5. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database administration
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in database administration, preferably with MS SQL and Oracle databases
  • Strong knowledge of database design, development, and implementation
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
