Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain robust database management systems with a focus on RDBMS architecture.
  2. Implement and enforce stringent security protocols, including TDE and data masking.
  3. Leverage Unix administration skills to integrate with database management systems.
  4. Predict future hardware needs and user load growth, enabling informed infrastructure planning.

About the Role:

This role requires a skilled Database Consultant to design and implement comprehensive database management systems, leveraging data warehousing expertise to analyze complex datasets and optimize ETL technologies.

The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating, installing, upgrading, and configuring database software, as well as maintaining strict version control and performing regular maintenance tasks.

Candidates should also be able to closely monitor database performance, ensuring fast, efficient access to data and adequate resources.

Audit databases to ensure they meet recovery goals and maintain high availability configurations, employing a structured problem management process to investigate and resolve database issues effectively.

Enhance performance by executing database reorganizations and automating repetitive tasks, forecasting future database growth and proactively managing storage usage, adhering to data retention policies.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in database management, data warehousing, and RDBMS architecture, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
