Multimedia Preservation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Media Content Archiving Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role in ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of our multimedia assets.

• This position involves developing and implementing effective content archiving strategies, as well as maintaining digital asset management systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media formats, metadata standards, and cataloging techniques.

A bachelor's degree in Media, Library Science, Information Management, or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in media archiving, digital asset management, or broadcast content inventory is essential.

• Familiarity with audiovisual restoration and digitization techniques is highly desirable.

This role requires excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills, as well as proficiency in Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms or content management systems.

• Develop and implement effective content archiving strategies and inventory systems for multimedia assets.
• Maintain digital asset management (DAM) systems to support efficient organization and retrieval of archived materials.
• Classify media content using metadata frameworks and international archiving standards, supporting analytical efforts and research.
• Support the team by extracting and organizing archived content for research, reporting, or public communication purposes.
• Collaborate with content creators, media analysts, IT, and legal teams to ensure proper storage, ownership, and usage rights of archived materials.
• Provide insights and reports on content utilization trends, gaps, and opportunities, driving informed decision-making.
• Ensure the long-term preservation and digitization of legacy media archives, adapting to technological advancements.
• Monitor and recommend relevant upgrades or practices in media archiving technologies, ensuring optimal performance.
• Train and guide junior staff on archiving tools, practices, and compliance procedures, fostering expertise within the team.
