Senior Project Management Officer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Management Officer to lead our project management office and drive the successful execution of high-impact initiatives.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, who can foster collaboration, identify risks, and implement best practices to drive project success and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Project Governance: Lead the establishment and enforcement of project governance, ensuring adherence to policies and methodologies.
  2. Project Management Best Practices: Drive the development of project management best practices across the organization to enhance project delivery effectiveness.
  3. Project Oversight: Oversee and monitor the performance of key projects, providing strategic guidance to project managers and teams.
  4. Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with senior management to align project outcomes with the company's strategic goals and priorities.
  5. Communication: Facilitate project status reporting and ensure timely communication regarding project risks and issues.
  6. Performance Assessment: Conduct in-depth assessments of project performance and provide recommendations for improvement opportunities.
  7. Mentorship: Mentor and coach project managers and other team members to enhance their project management capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  2. Experience: 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a PMO leadership role.
  3. Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and relevant tools.
  4. Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  5. Certifications: Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, and/or Agile methodologies are highly desirable.
