Job Title: Enterprise Data Architect

About the Role

The Central Bank of Oman is seeking a highly skilled and experienced data professional to lead the design, development, and implementation of data architecture strategies.

This role will play a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making, ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates, and advancing analytics capabilities in alignment with the bank's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Architecture Leadership: Develop and maintain an enterprise data architecture framework that supports effective management, integration, quality, and security of data across the organization.
  • Data Governance: Collaborate with stakeholders to align data architecture with business requirements, regulatory standards, and IT strategies.
  • Metadata Management: Design and govern robust metadata management practices to support analytics, regulatory reporting, and operational needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure data architectures accommodate legal, ethical, and industry-specific standards to support regulatory compliance.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or information management roles.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise data solutions.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in information management, data analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), DAMA.
  • Experience working in a regulatory or financial services environment.
