The company aims to establish a regional engineering platform based in Muscat, Oman.

The Role

We seek an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and grid integration for a Wind Turbine Farm Project in Oman, with a focus on renewable energy, wind power, and Oman's electrical infrastructure and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage electrical design and execution for wind power projects, including grid connection and transmission design.
  • Develop technical documentation such as single line diagrams and interconnection studies.
  • Perform grid impact studies: load flow, short circuit, harmonic distortion, VRT/FRT, and dynamic stability studies.
  • Estimate CAPEX/OPEX, support financial modeling, and optimize project costs.
  • Analyze power network systems for stability and reliability.
  • Design electrical protection systems and substations.
  • Coordinate with Oman authorities like OETC and NEDC for compliance and approvals.
  • Utilize engineering software including ETAP, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Prepare engineering reports and regulatory submissions.
  • Monitor project timelines and collaborate with procurement teams.
  • Supervise contractors and mentor junior engineers during engineering and commissioning phases.
Ideal ProfileQualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Power and Control Engineering; Master's in Renewables is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years in renewable wind energy projects; 5+ years in Oman or 8+ years in GCC countries.
  • Strong experience with wind turbines and grid-tied systems.
  • Deep knowledge of Oman's electrical regulations and utility infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to perform advanced grid impact assessments.
  • Experience with load estimation, protection, and transmission systems.
  • Valid driving license; Omani residency preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Software: ETAP, AutoCAD, Excel, MS Office.
  • Expertise in electrical system modeling, protection devices, grid studies, and renewable integration.
Additional Considerations
  • Renewable energy background preferred.
  • Omani electrical engineering license or eligibility required.
  • Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and local grid standards essential.
