About Our Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to lead our team in delivering core components.

This is a fast-paced, problem-solving role operating at the heart of Linux server systems.

  • Lead and grow a distributed team of engineers
  • Demonstrate sound engineering principles through active leadership
  • Be responsible for planning, estimation, and execution
  • Work with product management to define vision and strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

You will inspire your team to drive advancement and adoption of latest software development practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, embrace, and evangelize great engineering practices
  • Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values
  • Engage with other teams to ensure alignment on product architecture and roadmaps

The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with Linux distributions, demonstrated team management, and high-quality software engineering knowledge in areas like Linux system architecture, boot process, and toolchains.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Linux System Architecture: In-depth understanding of Linux kernel and distribution mechanisms

Boot Process: Knowledge of bootloaders, initialization scripts, and system configuration

Toolchains: Experience with Java/GCC/Python/Rust/Go compilers and build systems
