Cloud Software Engineer

As a Cloud Software Engineer at Canonical, you will play a critical role in managing the Atlassian stack, ensuring seamless collaboration and data-driven decision making across teams. This position is part of the Commercial Systems team, which integrates business systems to automate processes and ensure reliable data flows.
About the Role
This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining processes and automation in Jira to optimize workflow efficiency. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and support teams globally to create scalable learning resources, develop dashboards for data-driven decisions, and resolve critical escalations promptly.
You will be responsible for managing the entire Atlassian Cloud ecosystem, including administration, configuration, automation, and integration. Your expertise in Python development and proficiency in English communication skills will be essential in collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Jira administration and ecosystem, understanding of Jira usage patterns across departments, and knowledge of process architecture. A strong academic background from high school and university is required, along with the ability to work remotely and travel internationally twice a year.
