As a skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest levels of safety and security.

About the Role

You will be responsible for directing daily engineering needs, planning assignments to meet hotel requirements, and developing team performance through coaching, feedback, and performance goals. Additionally, you will be required to control expenses, minimize waste, and maintain relations with external contacts, including regulatory agencies and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and assign work to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Develop and improve team performance through coaching, feedback, and performance goals.
  • Maintain relations with external contacts, including regulatory agencies and guests.
  • Control expenses and minimize waste within maintenance areas.

You will work closely with the IT Manager to follow up on outstanding points from the latest audit and maintain compliance with regulatory policies. This role may include supervising a small maintenance staff and being responsible for hotel security, minimizing risks and hazards.

Requirements
  • Advanced vocational training or equivalent experience.
  • Four years' experience in general building maintenance and/or construction.
  • Specialized expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields.
  • Level 3 EPA Certification, HVAC and refrigeration certificate, licensed plumber, and/or journeyman status for electrician and carpenter.
