The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist will provide quality assurance support to ensure adherence to client requirements on assigned project functional areas.

">

This role reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and collaborates with various functional groups, including program management, engineering, and construction teams.

">

Main Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Plan daily inspection activities and surveillance tasks to verify compliance with established plans and procedures.">
  • IDentify and address serious breaches of Health, Safety, or Environmental standards immediately.">
  • Conduct audits to verify adherence to plans and procedures, providing documentary evidence.">
  • Coordinate with construction staff to plan inspections and testing activities in advance.">
  • Monitor subcontractors to ensure they adhere to Design-Builders (DB) Contractors' project quality assurance and quality control plans and procedures.">
  • Evaluate site QA/QC compliance through on-site surveillance or QC Inspector reporting, providing visual feedback and reporting.">
  • Ensure responsible handling of materials receipt, storage, and use.">
  • Conduct site visits for visual verification of procedure adherence, addressing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and providing individual reporting of concerns from the general workforce, supervisors, and management.">
  • Promote production of As-Built Quality Records respecting Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).">
  • Offer guidance to QC Inspectors regarding ITP content and required record compilation related to materials specifications, tolerances, standards, certification to compliance, traceability, and product realization.">
  • Attend Functional Acceptance Testing (FATS) & System Acceptance Testing (SATs) as required by the Project Manager.">
  • Undertake timely temperature samples and responsibly handle their storage, curing, and testing.">
  • Act decisively to prevent bad practice, waste, and non-value-adding activities.">
  • Explain likely derogatory effects of bad practice in a manner easily understandable to individuals or groups involved.">
  • Participate in supply chain QC compliance on/off site as required or advised by the Project QA Manager.">
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports, and a dashboard of QAQC KPIs to a high standard and detail.">

Requirements

">

A Senior Professional shall hold a technical or engineering-related university degree.

">

Must have at least ten (10) years of experience in Conventional Railway Projects.

">

Demonstrate strong understanding of QAQC principles, tools, and techniques.

">

Ability to provide sound knowledgeable advice on matters of Quality, Assurance, and Quality Control.

">

GCC experience is preferred.

">
