Job Description

The Construction Manager is a crucial role responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery. This involves planning, executing, and managing large EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects within the Oil & Gas sector, focusing on construction management of Tanks with an emphasis on safety, compliance, and performance.

This includes developing and managing construction plans, schedules, and resources in coordination with project teams, leading and supervising construction teams, enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards, conducting audits, and managing incident response. The Construction Manager must also oversee construction quality assurance, ensure compliance with engineering and regulatory standards, monitor budgets, approve costs, and implement cost-control measures to stay within financial targets.

Furthermore, the Construction Manager is responsible for maintaining and tracking construction schedules, addressing delays, and providing progress updates to stakeholders. Additionally, they must manage contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and contractual obligations, and proactively identify and resolve construction issues to maintain project momentum.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 18+ years in construction management, with at least 10 years in Oil & Gas EPC projects focusing on construction of tanks
  • Proven experience in managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to manage large, diverse teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in construction management software
