Internal Audit Manager

About The Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading audits in accordance with established plans, monitoring and controlling the work of audit assistants, and ensuring tasks are completed within the allotted timeframe. This role also involves executing audit programs, collecting relevant evidence, preparing work papers, and providing written input to senior auditors for the final report.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute audit plans, including identifying areas of focus and defining scope.
  2. Maintain knowledge of internal auditing standards, including IFRS updates, and ensure adherence to these standards throughout audits.
  3. Collaborate with business owners to implement recommendations and ensure effective change management.
  4. Prepare reports for the audit committee and management, summarizing key findings and recommending actions.
  5. Participate in financial statement reviews, executing assigned areas according to standards.
  6. Assist in maintaining a current and comprehensive understanding of internal auditing best practices and industry developments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.
  • Professional certification (CIA preferred).
  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Audit planning, execution, and reporting experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
