Role Purpose

To lead the Digital Apps and Platforms audit function within Omantel and integrate with Commercial / Functional audit to provide optimum assurance.

Position Information

Minimum role requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Network or relevant discipline. Certifications such as CISA / CIA are highly preferred.
  • Internal Candidate: 4 years of total experience.
  • External Candidate: 6 years of total experience.
Key Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with Audit Planning & Performance to develop an audit plan covering all digital apps and platforms used within Omantel, ensuring integration with the Commercial & Functional Audit.
  • Lead and execute audit engagements as per the approved audit plan and other ad hoc requests received through the line Manager.
  • Maintain effective communication and good relationships with management to encourage transparency and timely disclosure of audit observations/issues.
  • Follow up on initial audit requirements, process understanding documents, risk and controls matrices, and audit programs for areas under scope, submitting them for review to the Business & Functional Audit GM.
  • Verify the completeness of audit working papers, ensure proper documentation, and submit for review.
  • Develop draft IA reports, participate in closing meetings to discuss findings and recommendations, and obtain management responses to determine corrective actions.
  • Immediately notify the Business & Functional Audit GM of any weaknesses or issues with significant impact or risk to operational continuity.
  • Lead the development of final IA reports, including resolving disagreements with management.
  • Lead and mentor the digital apps and platforms audit team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
  • Support the Investigation Team in investigations related to Omantel.
  • Provide information to support audit committee reporting.
  • Follow up on internal audit findings and submit reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the organization's governance framework by aligning audit activities with best practices and governance documents.
  • Assist the GM in providing advisory services related to Digital Apps & Platforms as requested by management.
