Job Title: Security Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Security Risk Management Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.


About the Role:
  1. This role is responsible for defining and implementing security risk management standards and playbooks across the organization.
  2. The Security Risk Management Specialist will analyze current security risk practices, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance our overall security posture.
  3. The specialist will also evaluate, select, and implement new security requirements, tools, and practices as needed to stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies.
  4. A key responsibility of this role is to grow the presence and thought leadership of our security risk management practice through public presentations, industry events, and thought leadership.
  5. The specialist will develop educational resources to help employees understand and manage security risks effectively.
  6. They will work closely with senior security leaders to communicate key security risk information and drive change within the organization.
  7. The Security Risk Management Specialist will contribute to the development of metrics and indicators that measure and evaluate security risk.
  8. They will apply statistical models to analyze and mitigate security risks, including FAIR and sensitivity analysis.
  9. The specialist will participate in risk management, decision-making, and collaborative discussions related to security risk management.
  10. They will lead quantified risk assessments and leverage qualitative data to inform improvements in quality and engineering processes.
  11. The specialist will interpret internal or external cyber security risk analyses in business terms and recommend a responsible course of action.
  12. They will develop templates and materials to support self-service risk management actions.
  13. The Security Risk Management Specialist will monitor and identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of risk management processes.
  14. They will launch campaigns to perform security assessments and help mitigate security risks across the organization.

Requirements:
  • A strong academic track record in Computer Science or a related field.
  • A proven ability to deliver exceptional results and exceed expectations.
  • Personal motivation to be at the forefront of technology security.
  • Leadership and management skills, with experience in guiding teams and projects.
  • Excellent business English writing and presentation skills.
  • Problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of security assessments and risk management.
  • Proficiency in threat modeling and risk management frameworks, such as FAIR and sensitivity analysis.
  • Broad knowledge of how to operationalize the management of security risk.
  • Experience in secure development lifecycle and security by design methodologies.
