The role of General Practitioner in a hospital setting demands exceptional multitasking skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse range of patients, from emergency cases to routine check-ups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transferring care to Specialists or Consultants when admission or hospital transfer is required.
  • Taking Most Responsible Physician (MRP) responsibilities for patients under direct care in the Emergency Room or primary care clinic.
  • Providing professional advice and technical services to other GPs or patients upon request.

Clinical Excellence

  • Ensuring accurate, legible, and prompt completion of medical records according to policy.
  • Maintaining confidentiality in all matters according to MOH policy.
  • Participating in mortality and morbidity meetings openly and collegially.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Engaging in quality improvement and safety activities of the organization.
  • Contributing to clinical guidelines, critical care pathways, and managed care processes as needed or upon request.

Communication and Patient Care

  • Discussing serious or repeated minor performance issues of other medical staff with their Head of Department for early intervention.
  • Ensuring patients and families are fully informed about their condition ethically and humanely.
  • Protecting patients from anxiety caused by poorly understood medical conversations and avoiding criticizing colleagues in front of patients or relatives unless in a formal medical-legal context.
