Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Sushi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Six Senses Zighy Bay. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of various kitchen stations, ensuring that all food products meet our high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
  2. Quality Control: Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of products served, adhering to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules.
  3. Purchasing and Receiving: Check incoming produce, ensuring that all food merchandise aligns with order sheets, receiving records, and purchasing specifications.
  4. Inventory Management: Assist in controlling outlet operational budgets, maximizing profitability while strictly controlling costs.
  5. Guest Feedback: Record guest complaints, requests, and solutions, reporting them to the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
  6. Hygiene and Safety: Ensure complete understanding and adherence to Six Senses' policy relating to fire, hygiene, and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 2-4 years of kitchen experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of broiler equipment and meat and fish cookery, proficient knife skills, and understanding of farm-to-table concepts.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agencies.
  • Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Able to thrive in multicultural teams, with strong leadership skills and excellent command of written and spoken English.
