About the Role
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses, and assist formal execution by relevant parties.
  • Advise on administration of construction works or services contracts.
  • Measure and value work carried out, adjusting variations according to contract terms and agreeing with contractors.
  • Ensure adequate cost control and reporting services during contracts.
  • Prepare financial reports for clients in required form and frequency.
  • Identify costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client charges.
  • Participate in evaluating claims for delay and additional costs made by contractors and nominated subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Advise on issuing certificates of practical completion and ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
  • Advise on issuing certificates of making good defects and final completion, meeting any requirements relating to completion, submissions, and approvals.
  • Deliver improvements in systems and processes, driving transformational change.
  • Manage teams of professionals (including support roles), driving performance and results while delivering performance management, technical development, and coaching.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous improvements and improving working processes.
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholders.
  • Collaborate towards net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for proactive identification and management of carbon emissions and reductions during work delivery.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive years of experience.
  • Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks related to construction.
  • Experience managing relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Understanding of present-day issues such as sustainability, social value, and carbon reduction.
  • Strong understanding of industry best practice.
