Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the execution of construction activities, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Directly accountable for day-to-day activities during the project construction phase.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting project team on the construction progress of C&A activities, highlighting issues that could impact on quality, cost, project delivery schedule, and HSE risks matters.
  • Conduct periodic HSE inspections and implement corrective actions & improvements.
  • Verify C&A construction cost estimates submitted by the contractor to ensure activities completed by contractor align with contract scheduled rates.
  • Manage change control and variance register of all C&A project/construction activities.
  • Ensure C&A projects are executed in line with Company and International standards.
  • Supervise C&A projects construction activities to maintain project schedules at site, including instrumentation, telecom works for Oil wells, Gas Wells, Water Disposal wells, MSVs, OHL works, and other O&M support work.
  • Closing punch lists to Company satisfaction.
  • Attending system and equipment tests, protection tests and site commissioning.
  • Reviewing C&A Drawings, Documents & Making Proposals for new C&A connection or upgrade existing system etc.
  • Managing and supervising all instrumentation construction activities, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring works align with delivery schedule, Contract Specifications, And Company Requirements.
  • Maintaining effective Health and Safety systems, including completion of risk assessments and method statements where appropriate.
  • Following-up corrective actions and implementing countermeasures to minimize reoccurrence of faults.
  • Managing C&A construction activities with proper resource planning to meet project specified schedules.
  • Keeping up-to-date with new improved working methods that can add value by improving Quality and reducing costs.
  • Enforcing and complying with Company HSE & Security Policies, procedures, and providing adequate resources.
  • Coordinating and allocating C&A construction supervisors to specific work areas and covering responsibilities of other supervisors as necessary.
  • Ensuring completion of all necessary reporting system completion for C&A construction activities in all phases of the project.
  • Ensuring material availability for C&A construction activities by maintaining records and controlling stock.
  • Ensuring competency & skill of personnel involved in C&A construction activities and implementing counter measures to improve performance.
  • Ensuring public, staff, and contractors' safety by maintaining functionality of HSE Management System and asset integrity of company facilities.
  • Ensuring contractor implementation and adherence to Company overall Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) requirements.
  • Identifying and establishing hazard/environmental aspects and impacts controls.
  • Daily and weekly reporting: Maintaining records of daily activities progress and any issues that raise and updating the construction and HO project team with up-to-date information.
  • Participating, evaluating, giving input and proposing solutions for all project challenges (e.g. safety, quality cost and schedule).
  • Reviewing and commenting on required construction documents such as Method of Statement, Procedures, engineering drawings as required.
  • Supporting on checking material requisitions, as-built drawings for C&A discipline.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Managing and overseeing shutdowns.
  • Coordinating with other project disciplines and resolving interface issues with asset owners and other project teams.
  • Attending site inspection related as required.
  • Maintaining harmonious relationships within the team and contractors.
  • Performing other relevant duties as requested by Construction Manager from time to time.
