Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced science teacher who can design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state and national science standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in biological, physical, or earth sciences and be able to adapt their teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.


Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Planning and Instruction: Design and implement lesson plans that incorporate hands-on experiments and promote critical thinking, inquiry, and collaboration among students.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a dynamic classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect while maintaining discipline and order.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, including tests, projects, and presentations, and provide constructive feedback to guide improvement.
  • Technology Integration: Integrate technology and digital resources to enhance the learning experience, utilizing tools like simulations and online labs in the science curriculum.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Develop and conduct extracurricular science activities, such as science fairs or after-school clubs, to inspire student interest beyond the classroom.

Requirements:
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field, with teaching certification or licensure in science.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of teaching experience in a middle or high school setting, showcasing proven effectiveness in engaging students.
  • Language Skills: Native or fluent English speaker, with proficiency in additional languages preferred to support diverse student populations.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling the candidate to effectively address classroom challenges and adapt curriculum as needed.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
