Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality legal support to our business operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various legal agreements, including investment management agreements, subscription agreements, vendor contracts, and other commercial contracts.
  • Conducting research on relevant local and international laws and regulations impacting the asset management industry, including securities laws, investment advisor regulations, data privacy laws, and other applicable regulations.
  • Attending to legal complaints and coordinating with domestic and international law firms.
  • Collaborating with management and the Compliance department on specific projects, such as policies and procedures.
  • Advising on liability and risk issues in various legal agreements and supporting corporate governance matters.
  • Assisting with regulatory filings and other legal documentation.
  • Coordinating with external lawyers on legal matters.
  • Advising on appropriate courses of action for contentious matters.
  • Representing the company in negotiations and dispute resolution processes.
  • Researching and analyzing the implications of legislation and regulatory matters.

Qualification:

  • Minimum LLB from an accredited Educational institution. LLM will be an advantage.

Experience:

  • 3-7 years of experience in the relevant Field.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate legal practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to provide strategic legal recommendations to top Management.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
