Job Title: Diesel Engine Technician

The goal of this position is to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of heavy machinery used in various sectors. A skilled Diesel Engine Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting diesel engines, as well as conducting routine maintenance and repairs on construction equipment and mining machinery.

• Diagnose and repair diesel engine issues using advanced diagnostic techniques.
  
• Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes and filter replacements to prevent mechanical failures.
  
• Replace and repair parts including fuel injectors, pumps, and filters to restore optimal engine performance.
  
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used to facilitate future repairs and optimize operational efficiency.
  
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure seamless coordination and minimize downtime.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and practices while working on heavy machinery.
  

• Proficient in diesel engine diagnostics and repair techniques.
  
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems in diesel machinery.
  
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
  
• Experience with welding and fabrication related to equipment repairs.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Diesel Mechanics or a related field preferred.
  
• Valid diesel mechanic certification or equivalent accreditation.
  
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a diesel mechanic in a professional setting.
