Job Title: Software Project Lead

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development of applications and systems projects. This includes assembling a team, assigning tasks, and managing schedules to ensure timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop project schedules and plans to guarantee on-time delivery. Obtain management and client approval with the project plan and timeline, and advise on any obstacles or resource needs that may impact project completion.
  2. Create a scope of work for the application to capture most of the requirements.
  3. Act as the primary point of contact for the application developer throughout the development process and post-launch support.
  4. Assemble the project team, identify member competencies, and assign resources to tasks based on individual knowledge, skill, and abilities.
  5. Communicate project objectives, monitor progress, and adjust resources as necessary to keep the project on track.
  6. Apply project management tools and tracking systems to oversee all aspects of project progress.
  7. Utilize project resources and contribute as an individual to develop programming code or software modifications using appropriate languages and tools to optimize resources and meet functional user requirements.
  8. Utilize project resources and contribute as an individual to analyze user system and application needs, determine and evaluate potential solutions, develop system specifications and requirements, and design application programs to meet requirements.
  9. Design integrated solutions which may include applications, databases, networks, and related systems.
  10. Maintain database systems, establish policies, standards and procedures to ensure useful and readily accessible data.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, with four years of experience in related positions.
  • Experience managing at least 5 Mobile application projects.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in mobile application management.
  • Strong expertise in mobile application technologies – Preferably IOS and Android.
  • Familiarity with onsite project management using agile methodology is essential.
  • Understanding of Apple/Android best practices for application development.
  • Sufficient experience in both management of software projects and functional management of software development teams.
  • Ability to estimate required resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Develop required materials including technical specifications, project and resource plans, project updates, and presentation materials.
  • Develop short-term and long-term project plans, priorities, and objectives.
  • Expertise in available frameworks for application development on iOS platform.
  • Flexible and proactive working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Good knowledge of ITIL practices
  • Experienced in working under pressure and tight deadlines.
