Job Summary

The Senior Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing guidance to junior accountants.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining effective daily work practices, ensuring all accounting colleagues understand and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and supervise account reconciliations, analysis, and closing procedures at month end, verifying accuracy and timeliness of night audit/hotel revenue transactions and monitoring adherence to established procedures.
  • Supervise the filling and maintenance of all accounting related documents and records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of municipality fees and licenses reporting and payment.
  • Verify daily bank balances through review of bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations, verify accuracy of general cashier report and revenue receipts are daily deposited into the bank.
  • Conduct monthly departmental meeting to communicate pertinent information, verify journals and journal vouchers are properly recorded and accurate.
  • Verify general ledger and sub-ledger postings are accurate and timely, prepare financial statements, accruals, and journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate submission of related reports.
  • Maintain updated and accurate Chart of Accounts, communicate with public auditors and prepare necessary data and documents.
  • Plan, recruit, and hire departmental staff, perform related tasks and duties as assigned.
