Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Commis or Demi Chef De Partie to join our team in the pastry kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the efficient operation of the department, ensuring that all daily production is prepared in line with global standards.
The ideal candidate will be in charge of preparing morning bakeries, pastries for breakfast, buffets for all-day dining and banquets, coffee breaks, outdoor catering, and weddings. You will work closely with the Pastry Chef to ensure the daily running of the department is carried out in an efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pastry Chef in the preparation and presentation of pastries, desserts, and other sweet treats.
- Ensure that all food items are prepared to a high standard, meeting quality and presentation expectations.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Work effectively as part of a team, providing support and assistance when needed.
- Foster excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues and guests.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience as Demi Chef De Partie or Commis.
- Transferable IQAMA in Saudi Arabia (ideal).
- Previous hotel experience is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing demands.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent English communication skills; Arabic language skills are a plus.
