Job Title: Materials Category Head

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Materials Category Head to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic plans for materials sourcing, procurement, and contract management.

  • This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract engineering, portfolio management, and supply chain management.
  • They will also possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain HSE as top priority through compliance to PDO house rule, PDO HSE golden rules and PDO LSR (lifesaving rules).
  • Develop strategic, short and long term projects delivery plans.
  • Manage, coach and support the supply chain team to effectively execute the full sourcing process from demand challenge, strategy development and implementation through prequalification, tendering, award of contracts/order, up to contract close out taking into account in-country value including constructive challenge of existing processes and procedures, timely involvement of PDO boards and stakeholders views and suggestions through tender board presentations with the aim of having a complete, clear and unambiguous tender document that will form the base for the final contract document.
