This role plays a critical part in safeguarding Ooredoo Money and its customers from financial fraud and illegal activities. As an FCC Associate, you will be responsible for helping to prevent, identify, investigate, and report suspicious transactions or activities related to money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions violations, fraud, and other financial crimes.

Ooredoo Fintech offers innovative products like Ooredoo Money. In this role, you will work with Oman OFT International, the company providing Ooredoo Money in Oman.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Screening Support: Assist in supporting customer screening for anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions compliance.
  • Alert Review: Review alerts generated by screening tools, identify potential sanctions violations, and track politically exposed persons (PEPs).
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain and update screening logs and document findings.

Assist in monitoring customer transactions for unusual activities or behavior, gathering and analyzing data for pattern identification, and maintaining accurate records of activities, investigations, and decisions taken.

Support the creation and submission of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), identifying transactions that meet the suspicion threshold, gathering supporting documentation, and assisting senior compliance personnel in analyzing data and drafting STRs.

Help improve the financial crime compliance program by sharing feedback to enhance detection processes and routines, reviewing recent news and documents related to financial crime, and supporting employee background checks and vendor due diligence.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Your success in this role will be measured by factors such as completion rates, accuracy, record-keeping quality, adherence to policy, personal development targets, and contribution to OFS growth and success.
