Job Title: Energy Engineering Lecturer

This is a predominantly teaching-focused position to manage and support the delivery of postgraduate, undergraduate, foundation, and executive programmes.

The post-holder will have primary responsibility for teaching undergraduate energy engineering modules, laboratory development, and supervision, as well as supporting relevant programmes in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

  • Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching experiences in various degree programmes and executive education courses.
  • Ensure all necessary content and materials are in place on time.
  • Liaise with the faculty Director on student matters and timetable planning.
  • Manage module timetables, content, and resource areas, liaising with academic and technical staff.
  • Initiate high-quality learning and training activities that reflect the needs and currency of the subject.
  • Engage with students and demonstrators during laboratory sessions.
  • Monitor student feedback and dissatisfaction through regular meetings and surveys.
  • Formulate and coordinate final-year projects and theses.
  • Attend recruitment events and maintain flexible working patterns.

Requirements:

PhD holder with experience in chemical engineering curriculum preferred.
