Senior Petroleum Geochemist Job Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Senior Petroleum Geochemist, working on highly specialised technical projects. You will be responsible for providing expert geochemical support and advice to Exploration and Production asset customers.

The role involves planning, defining and monitoring QC and close-out geochemical projects, identifying Geochemistry related problems and improvement opportunities, conducting specialist studies for integrated projects, and managing quality control of contractor specialist studies.

You will work closely with other geological services and specialist teams, as well as the Production Chemistry department. Internal customers are 'Exploration Evaluation'; 'New Opportunities' and 'Petroleum Engineering Asset Development' teams.

  • This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 8 years of experience associated with subsurface fluid evaluation.
  • You should have extensive knowledge of Reservoir Production Allocation, insight into hydrocarbon fluids and their source, and skilled in Analytical and Interpretation techniques/methods.
  • Able to identify Oil source and explain how hydrocarbon is moved/migrated, with a working knowledge of Middle East stratigraphy an advantage.
