As the leader of a software engineering team for gaming, your mission is to make Ubuntu a premier platform.
Gaming on Ubuntu requires more than just compatibility. It involves delivering exceptional performance, robust anti-cheat mechanisms, comprehensive device support, and streamlined content creation, sharing, and discovery.
You will collaborate with open-source projects and partners to contribute to both Ubuntu and the broader Linux gaming ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Maximise gaming performance and ensure seamless user experience
- Develop and implement effective anti-cheat solutions
- Collaborate with open-source projects and partners to enhance gaming capabilities
This is an exciting time for Linux gaming, with mature compatibility tools like Proton now available. However, there is still much work to be done to create a well-rounded gaming experience on Ubuntu.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for gaming and a deep understanding of software engineering principles.
We are a remote-first company, with teams meeting in person 2-4 times per year to align on strategy and execution.
