Job Role: Gas Turbine Technician

A typical day involves preparing the site for gas turbine maintenance, including dismantling components such as casing parts, bearings, and pipelines.

The day concludes with reassembling components, performing alignment checks, and conducting final inspections to ensure compliance with standards before handover.

Skill Requirements:
  • Maintain and update tools and work equipment, ensuring secure handling of internal software, and enforcing processes and specifications.
  • Perform outage preparation, site setup, tool control, and dismantling of noise enclosures, thermal insulation, electrics, and safety devices.
  • Disassemble casing parts, couplings, bearings, and seals; record dimensions and perform runout checks on gas turbine rotors.
  • Refurbish external components such as oil pumps, oil coolers, and turning devices; supply findings documentation and NDT examinations.
  • Reassemble combustion system components, gas turbine parts, and pipelines; ensure alignment and conduct concentric run-out tests.
