About the Role

The Product Owner (QHSE) - Domain Expert is a critical position that plays a key role in defining and prioritizing the product backlog for our QHSE software development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define and Communicate Product Vision: Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap to ensure timely delivery of features aligned with organizational objectives.
  2. Product Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to align with business objectives, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and teams.
  3. Requirements Elicitation & Design: Work with stakeholders and teams to gather and clarify requirements, define processes, and document core business processes.
  4. Solution Design and Tracking: Transform requirements into well-organized documents, including requirement traceability matrices for better visibility and tracking.
  5. Prioritization: Prioritize features and user stories based on customer needs and technical feasibility, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  6. Collaboration: Partner with developers, designers, and stakeholders to align efforts throughout the development lifecycle.
  7. Stakeholder Management: Communicate progress, manage expectations, and facilitate feedback sessions to ensure successful project outcomes.
  8. Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet quality standards through demos, testing, and feedback, driving continuous improvement.
  9. Metrics and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to stakeholders, informing data-driven decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Domain Knowledge: QHSE domain knowledge is mandatory, requiring a deep understanding of industry best practices.
  • Experience: 5+ years proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role within an Agile environment.
  • Certification: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification required/preferred or any other similar certification.
  • Backlog Management: Strong experience in backlog management and stakeholder communication.
  • Jira Expertise: Proficiency in using Jira for backlog management and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
