Senior Cost Management Professional - Oil & Gas

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Management Professional to join our team and take on the responsibility of managing project costs and ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.

You will oversee and manage all cost control activities during the execution phase of the project, working closely with various stakeholders to provide accurate cost reporting and ensure adherence to financial processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all cost control activities during the execution phase of the project.
  • Coordinate the detailed preparation and updates of the project budget with inputs from project team members.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, identify cost trends, variances, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Verify contractor invoices, assist with the RFS process, and ensure accurate cash flow forecasting and timely payments.
  • Monitor project commitments and expenditures, ensuring all cost control documentation is filed according to procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of comprehensive cost control procedures, ensuring consistency across the project.
  • Work closely with the finance department for all matters related to commitments, payments, and accruals.
  • Prepare and present cost-related reports for internal teams, project partners, and authorities.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in cost control methodologies and project management processes.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of professional experience, with 10+ years in project cost control, ideally within oil & gas, LNG, or energy projects.
  • Proven experience in managing cost control activities on large-scale projects (construction, fabrication, or yards preferred).

Technical Skills:

  • High proficiency with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management systems.
  • Solid knowledge of project execution and handover requirements.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English and French (mandatory).
