Senior Commercial Director

Commercial Management Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Commercial Manager to join our team in Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key assignments, providing strategic direction, and monitoring delivery aligned with our overall vision and objectives.

• You will be accountable for preparing contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses to achieve formal execution by appropriate parties.
• You will manage costing associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client charges, presenting these to clients.

• You will manage operations that are fiscally and ethically viable, influencing the achievement of business objectives that align with business and legislative compliance obligations.
• You will work collaboratively towards our common goal of net zero carbon transition, sharing responsibility for proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions during work delivery.

• You will provide leadership to managers and professionals, ensuring excellence in delivery against plans and championing a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities.

• You will manage cost consultants to identify and execute opportunities improving cost management procedures, templates, and products, enhancing services provided to stakeholders.

• You will be accountable for preparing contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses, assisting formal execution by appropriate parties.
• You will advise on administration of construction works or services contracts.
• You will measure and provide valuations of work carried out, adjusting variations in accordance with contract terms to agree with contractors.
• You will ensure adequate cost control and reporting services during contracts.
• You will supervise production of monthly post-contract cost reports, presenting them to clients.
• You will identify costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client charges.
• You will oversee evaluation of claims for delay and additional costs made by contractors and nominated subcontractors/suppliers.
• You will advise on issuing certificates of practical completion, ensuring final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
• You will advise on issue of certificates of making good defects and final completion in accordance with requirements relating to completion, submissions, and approvals.
• You will manage cost consultants, providing guidance, direction, coaching, and performance management.
• You will deliver improvements in systems and processes, driving transformational change.
• You will manage and provide leadership to a team of managers and professionals, ensuring principles, structures, tools/capabilities, and responsibilities are in place to deliver area plans and deliver excellence.
• You will provide performance management, technical development, and coaching.
• You will identify and implement continuous improvement plans/identify key business improvements.
• You will develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
• You will manage and influence key/senior stakeholders.
• You will work collaboratively towards our common goal of net zero carbon transition, sharing responsibility for proactive identification and management of associated carbon emissions and reductions during work delivery.

• You must be an effective communicator with all stakeholders.

• You must use advanced communication skills to collaborate with others, guiding them to achieve project KPIs.
