Senior HSE Officer for Brownfield Expansion Project

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team for a major Brownfield Expansion Project.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained in line with regulatory and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and client expectations.
  • Develop and implement effective audit documentation and track corrective actions to monitor trends and improvement.
  • Assist in creating and updating HSE procedures, programs, and technical documents to maintain a high level of safety and environmental awareness.
  • Maintain the HSE Management System and ensure related documentation is up-to-date.
  • Support incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Generate periodic reports on HSE performance and provide detailed safety analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Participate in Job Safety Assessments and use relevant risk assessment tools to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Conduct daily Toolbox Talks (TBTs) to reinforce safety best practices and promote a culture of safety.
  • Perform inspections and audits of contractors, personnel, and equipment as per established checklists.
  • Monitor and report weekly on audit and inspection results to maintain accountability and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) International General Certificate (IGC)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE roles within similar industries, preferably in brownfield construction and commissioning projects
  • Proficiency in English, with fluency in Hindi or Chinese, and knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
